Hear us ROAR!

Some new things for the 2021-2022 School Year:

  • ECLIP Program. Preschool and Kindergarten will participate in a program associated with Notre Dame University. ECLIP means Early Childhood Language Intensive Program. The purpose of this program is to increase English and Spanish vocabulary and fluency. There is a religion component in this program and students will hopefully learn some Catholic prayers in Spanish.

  • The Office of Catholic School is adding to the Religion curriculum with an Anti-Racism component.  My understanding is the focus will be on how we are all created in the image of God and the emphasis will be on how everyone must be respected and treated with dignity. I also know the Archdiocese is working on comprehensive grade level assessments to ensure all Catholic school students are mastering the teaching of Catholicism.

  • Students in grades 6-8 will be using a new Science series. The new textbooks also come with more online resources and appropriate grade-level assessments.
  • Students in grades 3-8 will have a Vocabulary book this year.
  •
  • Room 113, the Conference Room was painted. It looks wonderful.
  • We have added flexible seating, more fidget and sensory items to the Counselors room. We also added an air conditioning unit to the Counselors room.
  • We upgraded our Internet package over the summer and exceeded recommendations for a building our size.
  • The trophy cases have been cleaned, organized and painted a vibrant white! They really stand out and have brightened the hallway. (Yes, they have always had light in the cabinets).
  • iReady diagnostics will replace Aspire for standardized testing.
  • We extended the Alumni Hallway. We added years of framed St. Bede graduate class composites.
